What is your purpose?
What is your purpose? (25 words or less.) If you had to describe your calling in life, what would you say? What are you here to do? What gift is yours to give to the world?
My purpose is music. Music is a powerful ecstasy, infusing deep emotions, expressing secret sentiments and motivating aspirations. I want people to be able to feel completely captivated and invigorated when they hear my music
2) What do you love, and how do (or will) your actions demonstrate this? (250 words or less.) We at Gaia believe that following your heart is the best way to help the whole planet. What do you care about, and what do you most enjoy doing?
I care about preseving the beauty, elegance and exquisiteness in all palpitating, living things. My passion for surfing, music, and writing, is an elation that allows me to radiate optimism, laughter, euphoria, and joy to the people around me. It's a struggle for me daily to not be tainted by abominable influences, negativity, and sadness, but when I put on my 6mm wetsuit and 7mm booties and hop into the frigid arctic waters of the Oregon coastline, I feel so whole and secure. Theres is nothing comparable to laying in the sand with a guitar, pencil, and paper and watching pristine waves roll in, placid ocean birds soaring jaggedly into the wind, the sound of tranquility beaming from the sun, and a myriad of stars glistening on the surface of the water. When I play music and surf, I can really comprehend the significance of my family, friends, and health. These hobbies make me aware of how fragile life is, and push me to start accepting my faults and my responsibilites, so I can transform them into a product of my abilities. As a surfer, I am obviously very conscious of my environment and my economy. The rapid pollution of the ocean, abuse of the animals that inhabit, and contamination of the adjacent enviroment is heart-breaking. I feel so small, like a microscopic blip that cant do anything to eliminate these devastating perils. These are the things that I care about, my family, the impact I have on people around me, the sancitity of the ocean, music, and paving a beacon for future generations to appreciate kindness, love, and respect for the world.
3) Write your ideal job description. (250 words or less.) Forget about job titles like 'doctor' or 'artist' or 'lawyer.' If you could get paid just to live, how would you spend your time? What would you devote you life to? What would your days be like?
After seeing depredation in third world countrys, the destruction of natural disasters, and the malicious acts of the human hand, I no longer want to approach life with spineless apprehension, my goals have changed and my path is navigating compassion and hope to these afflicted areas. My priorities have locked into a setting of giving and rebuilding. I would devote my life to traveling to these poverty stricken areas and rehabilitating the wounded and broken. My days would be an even balance of helping construct fallen homes, damaged buildings, and getting perfect open barrels, and empty lineups in the water, playing music at the local aggregation spot with kids and families, swimming in salty warm waters, and living a life of simplicity and gratuity.
